Maxigesic® Cold & Flu | Sinus & Pain Kit

Maxigesic® Cold & Flu, Sinus & Pain Kit combines the benefits of Maxigesic® Tablets, which provides relief from pain and fever through its novel combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen, and Maxiclear® Nasal Spray, which provides relief of nasal congestion due to colds, influenza, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis.

Maxigesic® and Maxiclear® Nasal Spray can be used together to help provide relief from the symptoms of cold & flu.

Maxigesic® Cold & Flu, Sinus & Pain Kit combines the benefits of Maxigesic® Tablets, which provides relief from pain and fever through its novel combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen, and Maxiclear® Nasal Spray, which provides relief of nasal congestion due to colds,
influenza, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis.

Maxigesic® Tablets have a unique, patented combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen that provides fast, effective double-action relief for a wide range of pain symptoms, and also reduces inflammation and fever.

Active ingredients

Maxigesic® Tablets: Paracetamol 500 mg and ibuprofen 150 mg.

Maxiclear® Nasal Spray: Xylometazoline – 138 micrograms per spray (1mg/ml).

Dosage

Maxigesic® Tablets: Adults and children over 12 years: Take 1 or 2 tablets with a glass of water.

Repeat dose every 4-6 hours as required, up to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Maxigesic® is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Keep to the recommended dose.

Do not use for more than a few days at a time (adults) or longer than 48 hours at a time (children and adolescents) unless advised to by a doctor.

Maxiclear® Nasal Spray: Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 spray into each nostril every 8-10 hours, as required.

Do not exceed 3 sprays into each nostril in 24 hours.

• Blow the nose.

• Remove the protective cap.

• If you use the bottle for the first time, you should first press the pump 5 times until an even spray is released.

The next time you use the bottle this will no longer be necessary.

If you have not used the bottle for 7 days (after first use), press the pump 1 time to prepare the bottle for use again.

Make sure not to spray into the eyes or mouth.

• Keep the bottle upright between thumb and fingers.

• Keep the nozzle upright properly, tilt your head forward slightly and place the nozzle in a nostril.

• Spray once in each nostril.

Breathe in through your nose whilst pressing down the pump.

Clean and dry the nozzle before replacing the dust cap.

• Discard one month after opening.

Warnings

Maxigesic® Tablets: Do not use Maxigesic® if you: – If you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, paracetamol, or anti-inflammatory medicines.

– Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant – In Children under 12 years of age.

_ In the presence of a stomach ulcer or other stomach disorders, impaired kidney function or heart failure.

– If you get an allergic reaction, stop taking and see your doctor immediately.

Unless a doctor has told you to, do not take Maxigesic®: – If you have asthma.

– If you are aged 65 years or over.

– With other medicines containing paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin, or other anti-inflammatory medicines, or with medicines you are taking regularly.

– If you are taking anticoagulant medication, medication for high blood pressure, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate or other medicines for pain relief.

Contains lactose.

Maxiclear® Nasal Spray: Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

Do not use for more than three days at a time unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

If congestion persists, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Frequent or prolonged use may cause nasal congestion to recur or worsen.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.

Contains benzalkonium chloride as preservative.
